20 September 2024, Chengdu, Sichuan Province - Philippine Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz attends the 2nd China-ASEAN Digital Agriculture Forum to showcase Philippine support to China’s Digital Agriculture Programs/Initiatives.

Organized by the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the event aims to advance the development and application of digital technologies in agriculture and rural areas, and serve as a global platform to share and exchange advanced digital agricultural technologies.  

Among those who delivered speeches and presentations from ASEAN countries were Agriculture officials from Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, and Indonesia. #

21 September 2024, BEIJING—The growing FIlipino student community in China gathered at the Philippine Embassy for Kamustahan sa Taglagas to welcome the autumn season through a meet and greet and open forum session with Philippine officials.

 

Among the topics discussed were the current state of relations between the Philippines and China as well as the ongoing overseas absentee voting registration.

21 September 2024, Chengdu, Sichuan Province – While in Chengdu for the 2 nd China-
ASEAN Agriculture Forum, Philippine Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz met members of
the Filipino community, who are working as teachers, scientists, engineers, artists, band
singers, as well as students currently studying in Chengdu schools/universities.
Ambassador FlorCruz took the opportunity to inform them of the various activities of the
Embassy including preparations for the upcoming 50 th Anniversary of Philippines-China
Diplomatic relations in 2025.
The FilCom expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the
Ambassador.
