Office of the Agricultural Counselor (OAC)
The Office of the Agriculture Counsellor (OAC) represents the Philippine Department of Agriculture in China at the Embassy of the Philippines in Beijing. Its area of coverage is the whole of China, including Hong Kong & Macau as well as the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) and Mongolia. The OAC handles bilateral agriculture and agricultural trade matters/issues. Its primary function is to promote agricultural trade through the export of Philippine agricultural products to China. It also deals with trade/market facilitation issues and extends assistance to Philippine exporters as well as finding potential suppliers for Chinese importers. Another major function of the OAC is the promotion of Chinese agribusiness investments in the Philippines.
