9(A) Pleasure Visa

 *Requirements:

1.      Passport or travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;

2.      Two (2) completed visa application (2-sided) forms with photographs;

3.      Proof of financial capacity through any one of the following documents:

-  Certificate of employment detailing applicant’s position, salary and length of employment, written in English or with an English translation with company chop/ seal (retirement certificate if already retired)

-  Certificate of property ownership with its English translation

-  Certificate of bank deposits with bank chop/ seal

-  Letter of invitation from a reputable Philippine organization or by a Filipino citizen with attached copy of his/her passport or government issued identification card

4.      Confirmed return/onward passage/ airline ticket and its photocopy; and

5.      For minors under 15 years of age – copy of birth certificate with English translation

       For minors under 15 years of age, unaccompanied or not joining a parent(apply for Waiver of Exclusion Ground with the Immigration at the port of entry)-

-  Any of the parents must personally come to the embassy to execute the Affidavit of request and consent (fee of RMB167.50) with attached copy of birth certificate of the minor, copy of parent’s passport & copy of passport of the accompanying adult

6.      Visa fee

*The Consular Officer may require the submission of additional supporting documents, refuse a visa application, or deny a visa issuance as warranted in accordance with existing rules and regulations of the Philippine Government.  Applicant/s may be required to come to the Embassy for an interview if the Consular Officer finds it necessary.

9(A) Business visa

*Requirements:

1.  Passport or travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;

2.  Two (2) completed visa application (2-sided) forms with photographs;

3.  Letter of introduction from employer-company written in English or with an English translation with a company chop/ seal;

4.  Letter of invitation from Philippine company or event organizer, with attached copy of the company’s S.E.C., DTI registration or Mayor’s business permit and copy of passport or any government issued ID of the signatory.  If invitation is signed by a foreigner- please attach copy of passport and copy of a valid Philippine visa.

5.  Confirmed return/onward passage/ airline ticket and its photocopy; and

6.  Visa fee

       For multiple entry visa application
       In addition to above stated requirements

-  Letter of invitation from Philippines must mention request of multiple entry visa and explain the need thereof; and   

-  Certificate of bank deposits with bank chop/ seal.


* The Consular Officer may require the submission of additional supporting documents, refuse a visa application, or deny a visa issuance as warranted in accordance with existing rules and regulations of the Philippine Government.  Applicant/s may be required to come to the Embassy for an interview if the Consular Officer finds it necessary.

Note:

·  For individual applications, personal appearance is required if the passport is issued in areas outside the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Beijing (i.e. outside of Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shandong, Henan, Gansu, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Beijing, Tianjin,  Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Xinjiang and Tibet). 

·  Normal processing of visa takes three (3) working days from the date of receipt of application. An overtime fee of RMB167.50 shall be collected for urgent processing, to be released one working day from the date of receipt.  Visa of other nationalities, on a case to case basis, may be available after five (5) working days from the date of receipt of application.

·  Visa fee (pay in exact amount):

RMB 167.50                -  Chinese nationals (single entry)

RMB 335.00                -  Chinese nationals (3 months multiple entry)

RMB 670.00                -  Chinese nationals (6 months multiple entry)

RMB 201.00-268.00    -  For other nationalities (single entry)         

·  Filing of visa applications:  Monday to Friday, 8:30  A.M. to 12:00 noon

   Releasing of visa:  Monday to Friday, 3:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M.

·  The applicant or his/her representative is responsible for checking the visa upon its release from the Consular Section of the Embassy.  Please inform the Consular Officer immediately if there are discrepancies in the information in the visa issued.

9(B) Transit Visa (stay not exceeding 72 hours)

Requirements:

1.  Passport or travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;

2.  Two (2) completed visa application (2-sided) forms with photographs;

3.  Proof of financial capacity through any one of the following documents:

  1. Certificate of employment/ introduction letter from employer-company written in English or with an English translation with company chop/ seal (retirement certificate if already retired);

  2. Certificate of bank deposits with bank chop/ seal;

  3. Certificate of property ownership with its English translation;

  4. Written guarantee executed by an accredited travel agency;

  5. Letter of invitation from a reputable Philippine organization or by a Filipino citizen with attached copy of his/her passport or government issued identification card

4.  Confirmed return/onward passage/ airline ticket and its photocopy; and

5.  Visa fee RMB 100.50

9( C ) Seaman/ Crew member

Requirements:

1.  Passport or travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;

2.  Two (2) completed visa application (2-sided) forms with photographs;

3.  Confirmed passage/ airline ticket and its photocopy;

4.  Certificate of employment/ introduction letter from employer-company written in English or with an English translation with company chop/ seal, letter of invitation from Shipping/ Maritime company in Philippines; and

5.  Visa fee of RMB 134.00

9 (A) Business Visa for foreign newsmen and journalists intending to visit the Philippines:

Requirements:

1.  Passport or travel document valid for at least six (6) months beyond the authorized date of stay in the Philippines;

2.  Two (2) completed visa application (2-sided) forms with photographs;

3.  Curriculum vitae of newsman/journalist;

4.  Shortlist of work credits;

5.  Copy of one (1) sample article written by newsman/journalist;

6.  Background of media organization, including target market/audience, circulation, format;

7.  Letter of endorsement from the agency they represent;

8.  Certification from their respective Embassy in the Philippines;

9.  Visa fee ; and

10.  Administrative arrangements for the work in the Philippines;

a.  List of members of the reportorial team, nationalities and passport details;

b.  Contact person in the Philippines

c.  Planned itinerary and activities, with storyline for any films to be made;

d.  List of equipment to be carried by each team member, with certification from the media organization that said equipment will be re-exported at the end of trip to the Philippines;

e.  Flight details (arrival & departure); and

f.  For each team member, 3 pcs picture, size 2 x 2 colored photo with white background, which may be given to International Press Center (IPQ) on arrival in Manila, for the accreditation card. 

Note:
Upon arrival in the Philippines foreign newsmen/journalists have to present themselves at the International Press Center Office for accreditation.

Foreign newsmen are required to secure an MTRCB Export Permit in order to bring out of the country the film or footages that they have shot or produced in the Philippines.

The visa applications, together with the documentary requirements of foreign newsmen, journalists, and cinema and television groups shall be forwarded by the Embassy to the International Press Center through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Manila.  Visas will be issued upon receipt of the favorable endorsement of the International Press Center through the DFA.
