Get to know more about the Philippines’ rich cultural heritage through the special online presentation by the Department of the Foreign Affairs of the Philippines entitled “Lessons for a Changed World: Legacy of the Indigenous Peoples of the Philippines” now in serialized format.

This presentation was originally broadcast online last month to mark the 123rd anniversary of Philippine Independence on 12 June 2021 and the designation of 2021 as the year of Filipino Pre-Colonial Ancestors.

In this installment, entitled “Islands and Influences,” we will get to learn and see how the Filipino culture of today still reflects the indigenous and pre-colonial practices of the Philippines despite its long history of interaction with outsiders.
