05 August 2019 - On 31 July 2019, the Embassy representatives welcomed a group of "Little Chinese Digital Cultural Ambassadors", under its program "Ni Hao, Philippines”.

The visit was organized by the Embassy Business and Culture Net Center to enable Chinese students to learn about foreign cultures. The group was composed of 52 primary students from Fujian and Chongqing provinces.

During their visit, the children witnessed a presentation on basic information about the Philippines, were taught basic Filipino phrases, and listened to a story entitled "Alamat ng Pagong" (Legend of the Turtle) by Segundo D. Matias, Jr. Ms. Claire Fababaer, a Filipino Beijing-based teacher, read the story to the children.

In return, the students performed a rendition of the documentary "Amazing China", as well as a song and dance number using Chinese traditional musical instruments and showcased their calligraphy skills.

The Philippine Embassy organizes cultural activities such as this to enhance the people-to-people exchange between Filipino and Chinese peoples so as to promote greater understanding between them. END.
