The Embassy of the Philippines in Beijing hosted a Diplomatic Reception in celebration of the 121st Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence on 12 June 2019 at Hilton Beijing. Vice Minister Luo Zhaohui of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs graced the event as Guest of Honor.

During the reception, guests from the Chinese government, diplomatic corps, and business and Filipino community enjoyed the sumptuous Filipino dishes prepared by guest chefs from Conrad Manila - Armando Marca IV, Aaron Valeroso, and Joseph Ledesma, who are in Beijing for the Philippine Food Festival.
