Beijing, 28 January 2019–The Philippine Embassy in Beijing welcomed a delegation of 77 students aged 8 to 15 from various cities and provinces in China, including Beijing, Fujian, Shanxi, and Tianjin on 23 January 2019.
The Embassy's Cultural Section gave a presentation on basic information about the Philippines. The children were also taught basic Filipino sentences and were introduced to Philippine fiestas and festivals. Part of the activity was a “mask-making” session, inspired by the MassKara Festival, which is held in Bacolod City every fourth Sunday of October.
The visit of the "Little Chinese Digital Culture Ambassadors" is part of the Embassy’s program to educate and raise the awareness among young Chinese citizens on the Philippines and Philippines-China relations. END
