28 November 2018 - The Philippine Embassy in Beijing welcomed student participants in the Xavier China Experience 2018 on 27 November 2018.

The delegation composed of 59 students and 7 teachers from Xavier School, a private Catholic school for boys based in San Juan, Metro Manila, visited the Embassy as part of the school's annual Xavier China Experience (XCE) Program.

During his opening remarks, Ambassador Jose Santiago Sta. Romana welcomed exchanges with China to promote better understanding and create bridges to further strengthen the friendship between peoples of the Philippines and China.

Selected students gave presentations of their experiences in Beijing and shared insights on what makes Beijing a great city. Third Secretary and Vice Consul Jet  Olfato briefed them on the Embassy's role in further enhancing Philippines-China relations and gave a presentation on a career in the Foreign Service.

During the open forum, the students inquired on how the Embassy extends assistance to Philippine nationals in China and how Embassy personnel coped with living in foreign countries.
