22 May 2018 - The Philippine Embassy in Beijing, in cooperation with the office of the Tourism Attaché, participated in the 15th China International Film and TV Program Exhibition (CIFTPE) held at the Beijing Exhibition Center on 17-19 May 2018.

The CIFTPE aims to strengthen film and television cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries, as well as promote international cooperation and business development. An Overseas Filming Location Exhibition Zone was set up by the organizers where embassies showcased and promoted their respective countries as alternate locations for filming.
The Philippine booth featured various tourist destinations which may be considered as film locations for foreign film makers. Tourism and documentary videos were also played throughout the exhibition.

Cultural Officer and Attaché Ms. Joan T. Pichay and Tourism Attaché Mr. Tomasito G. Umali were present all throughout the exhibition to assist visitors to the booth and entertained queries on possible collaborations and documentary filming in the Philippines. Interested partners were provided with information such as contact details of agencies in the Philippines and the list of requirements to shoot in the Philippines.

The embassies of Ethiopia, Bulgaria, Benin, Fiji, Republic of Korea, Zimbabwe, Norway, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Greece and Armenia also participated and set up their booths. END.
