23 August 2017 - On 22 August 2017, National Book Development Board (NBDB) Executive Director Jerry G. Tizon called on Ambassador Jose Santiago L. Sta. Romana.  Executive Director Tizon is in Beijing to represent NBDB and set up its booth at the Beijing International Book Fair on 23-27 August 2017 at the China International Exhibition Center.

BIBF is organized by the China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation and will feature books, newspapers, periodicals, multi-media publications, cartoon and animation, software, digital solution and relevant equipment, printing solutions and related products, stationery and gifts from participating countries.

NBDB is showcasing 42 award-winning Philippine books at its booth at the Beijing International Book Fair.  NBDB will be donating the books to the Embassy's Sentro Rizal after the fair.

Executive Director Tizon presents a book to Ambassador Sta. Romana as a symbolic turnover for the 42 books that will be donated to Sentro Rizal Beijing after the fair.

During the call, Ambassador Sta. Romana and Executive Director Tizon had the opportunity to discuss means through which NBDB and the Embassy may collaborate to promote Philippine literature in China. END.
