22 August 2017 - Philippines Embassy representatives welcomed a group of "Chinese Young Cultural Ambassadors" under its program "Ni Hao, Philippines."

NCCA's Rizal Monument Paper Craft series.

 

The National China Young Cultural Ambassadors Committee facilitated the visit. The Committee, sponsored by the Chinese Society of Education, brings together students from various primary and secondary schools to visit Embassies, companies, museums and educational institutions to enable Chinese students to learn about foreign cultures as well as perform or demonstrate their talents.

During their visit, the Embassy's Cultural Officer Joan Pichay and Translator Wang Yaoxue delivered a brief presentation on basic facts about the Philippines and its National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, and the Rizal monument.

The students were given the opportunity to make the Rizal monument paper craft provided by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and were treated to Philippine mango juice drinks and cookies.

Ni Hao, Philippines” is an activity organized by the Embassy on a regular basis to create awareness and understanding of Philippine culture among children aged 7 – 12 years old. The Embassy has been receiving groups of "Chinese Young Cultural Ambassadors" since 2015. END.
