The Philippine Navy Dragon Boat Team was Overall Champion in the 2016 Ordos International Nadam Dragon Boat Tournament in Inner Mongolia, China    

29 August 2016 - The Philippine Navy Dragon Boat Team, composed of 22 active Navy members and two (2) civilians competed in the 2016 Ordos International Nadam Dragon Boat Tournament held in Inner Mongolia on 21 - 26 August 2016.

The Philippine team was overall champion of the tournament, winning first place in four categories - (a) the 300-meter full race; (b) 500-meter full race; (c) 500-meter mix race; and (d) 3,000-meter full race. The Philippine team ranked second in the 300-meter mix race, and third in the 3,000-meter mix race.

The Embassy hosted lunch in Beijing on 27 August 2016 to congratulate the team in person. END
