Hangzhou, the capital of East China’s Zhejiang Province, is one of the twelve cross-border e-commerce pilot cities approved by the General Administration of Customs of China. Hangzhou’s cross-border e-commerce pilot zone is the only national-level e-commerce pilot zone in China.

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce predicts that the trade volume of cross-border e-commerce in 2016 will reach RMB 6.5 trillion (US$ 987 billion), accounting for 20% of China’s foreign trade during the year.
