Philippines Participates in “Shared Glory with Diversified Splendours: Group Exhibition of ASEAN-China Academies of Fine Arts”

Visual artists Benjamin Cabangis and Leonilo Doloricon, both from the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Fine Arts, represented the Philippines in the “Group Exhibition of ASEAN-China Academies of Fine Arts” held in Tianjin, China on 25 May – 05 June 2016. Each of the artists brought five (5) of his works for the exhibit.
On the second day of the exhibition, artists participated in an open discussion on the establishment of an “Alliance of ASEAN-China Academies of Fine Arts”. The Alliance aims to build a platform for partnerships, bring out the member institutions’ initiative, consolidate and share resources and deepen education exchange and cooperation between the academies of arts in ASEAN and China.

The exhibition is one of the activities organized by the ASEAN- China Centre in commemoration of the 25th Anniversary of ASEAN-China dialogue relations.
The art works will be exhibited from 25 May to 05 June 2016 at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Tianjin, China.
Artists from China, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Singapore also participated in the exhibit.
