Philippine Embassy in Beijing Participates in the International Peace and Friendship Forest Tree-Planting Activity

23 May 2016 - Embassy representatives participated in the “International Peace and Friendship Forest Tree-planting Activity” held on May 21 at the Xiao Shu Calligraphy of the Earth Compound in Tongzhou District, Beijing. The event was sponsored by the Organizing Committee of China International Friendship and Culture Festival headed by Secretary General Cui Yong’an, and attended by Embassy representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Kuwait, Maldives, Norway, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

The event featured an unveiling ceremony of the “World Peace and Friendship Forest” and planting of one cedar tree for each Embassy. Painting exhibit and calligraphy demonstrations were also held, followed by dinner with performances and fireworks display. END
