The Embassy of the Philippines and the Department of Southeast Asian Studies of Peking University

are organizing a lecture by renowned Filipino civic leader, writer, and speaker, Ms. Teresita Ang See, on 29 November 2011, at 10:00 am, at Peking University.  

Held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai revolution and the the 150thbirth centenary of Dr. Jose Rizal, the lecture will discuss the contacts between the Philippines and China during their shared struggle for nationhood and the parallel lives of Asia’s great heroes -- Dr. Sun Yat Sen and Dr. Jose Rizal.

Ms. Ang See is founding President of Kaisa Para Sa Kaunlaran (Kaisa 菲律濱华裔青年联合会), and Secretary-Treasurer of the International Society for the Study of Chinese Overseas.  Her lecture will be delivered in English, with key points translated to Chinese.
