The Philippine delegation, led by Philippine Coconut Authority (PHILCOA) Deputy Administrator Roel M. Rosales, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Erlinda F. Basilio on 30 October 2013.  

The delegation participated in the annual China Overseas Investment Fair (COIFAIR) 2013, held at the Beijing Hotel International Convention Center from 29 to 30 October 2013.   

Coconut wine, produced by Vino de Coco, was featured at this year’s COIFAIR.

At the roundtable conference on 30 October featuring the Philippines’ agricultural sector, Mr. Rosales provided the Chinese participants an overview of the Philippines’ agricultural sector and the various investment opportunities within the sector.   

Chinese enterprises/businessmen were particularly interested in establishing business linkages with Philippine agro-based companies, selling agricultural machinery, and importing sea weed products and coconut-based products.
