Agriculture Counsellor Victoriano B. Leviste, Commercial Counsellor Zafrullah G. Masahud, and First Secretary Ivan Frank M. Olea paid a courtesy call on Mr. Qu Sixi, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture, on 14 May 2012.

Officials from both sides discussed ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation in the fields of rice breeding, irrigation, fisheries, research and development, and other related areas.  

 

China expressed willingness to share its knowledge in agricultural research and advance technology with the Philippines and other developing countries.  

 

Both sides also acknowledged the numerous high-level delegation visits to each other’s country and agreed to continue working on increasing exchange visits at senior and at technical levels.
