13 May 2024 BEIJING, CHINA - Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz recently led a visit to Beijing Scitech MQ Pharmaceutical Ltd. (Scitech Pharma) Campus in Shunyi District, exploring possible future cooperation with the company in the fields of medical science, cancer research, and pharmaceutical AI technology.

"Our Embassy in Beijing supports exploring the best possible outcome for your company, and for the benefit of our [Filipino] people," he said during the visit on 13 May 2024.

Scitech Pharma executives provided a briefing to the Philippine delegation on the background of the innovation-driven novel drug discovery company. The company is devoted to drug discovery in the areas of oncology, auto-immune and central nervous system diseases, focusing on highly unmet medical needs.

Scitech Pharma integrates multidisciplinary technologies of chemistry, physics, mathematics, biology, computer science into one powerful AI-based drug screening and drug design system.

Ambassador FlorCruz was joined by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC)-Beijing led by Mr. Emmanuel Niño W. Ang, and the Economic Team of the Embassy led by Second Secretary and Consul Mark Hanzel H. Lao.
