Philippines Joins 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen

08 September 2023  XIAMEN, FUJIAN PROVINCE, CHINA – Philippine Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China H.E. Jaime A. FlorCruz led the delegation from the Philippine Embassy in Beijing and the Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen in the Opening Ceremony of the 23rd China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) and International Investment Forum 2023 held at the Xiamen International Conference & Exhibition Centre on 08 September 2023.

Under the theme of "Open and Integrated: Key to High-quality Development", this year’s CIFIT aimed to further expand bilateral investment and facilitate global development. The fair's total exhibition area this year spanned an area of 120,000 square meters and featured over 1,000 institutions and enterprises from more than 100 countries and regions.

The Philippine booth in the exhibition center was organized by the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Guangzhou.

Brazil, Serbia, and Qatar were the “Guest Countries of Honor” at this year's CIFIT, with each country setting up national image pavilions and sending high-level government delegations. In addition, China’s Gansu Province was the "Guest of Honor Province" that showcased 123 enterprises from six industries in its pavilion.

The Philippines was the “Guest Country of Honor” at CIFIT consecutively in 2020 and 2021.
