11 August 2022, Beijing – The Philippine Embassy in Beijing hosted participating students in the “Witness Friendship” 2023 Summer Home and Abroad News Press Junior Journalists on 11 August 2023.

Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz graced the event and gave a brief background of his experience as a former media practitioner. He gave some tips and shared his favorite Chinese sayings / proverbs to provide inspiration and encouragement to these future journalists.

The students asked Ambassador FlorCruz questions about his profession as a journalist, and as the Philippine Ambassador to China. He expressed his wish to engage with Filipino and Chinese youth (especially students) to amplify the commonalities between the two cultures and the opportunities to learn from one another.

The Philippine Embassy was the last stop of the Junior Journalist Delegation for their series of exclusive interviews with eight embassies in China.
