BEIJING, 19 July 2023 – Philippine Ambassador to China H.E. Jaime A. FlorCruz receives participants to the National Committee on United States-China Relations’ Public Intellectual Programs (PIP) at the Ambassador’s Official Residence on 19 July 2023. Ambassador FlorCruz provided the participants with key knowledge and insights that he gained throughout his decades of studying and working as a journalist China, as well as those that he learned in his new career as the Philippines’ Ambassador to China.
During the Ambassador’s meeting with the participants, he discussed the current state of Philippines-China relations and current geopolitical realities in the Asia-Pacific Region.
The PIP is designed to nurture a new generation of China specialists with the interest and potential to play significant roles as public intellectuals.Through a varied set of activities, PIP helps each cohort of twenty young American China scholars and other specialists go beyond their own disciplines to deepen and broaden their knowledge of China’s politics, economics, and society, and encourages them to use this knowledge to inform policy and public opinion.
