On 18 April 2023, Mr. Chen Haiming, Deputy Mayor of Dezhou Municipal People’s Government, paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz and introduced the progress of Dezhou City in the past decades.

Dezhou is the only city in Shandong Province listed in the national strategy for the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. It boasts many strategic opportunities such as the integrated development of the provincial capital economic circle, the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. The Deputy Mayor also mentioned Dezhou’s high-tech industries and favorable investment climate in their city.
