BEIJING, 28 February 2023 – Ambassador Jaime A. FlorCruz met virtually with the Consuls General of the Philippine Consulates in the People’s Republic of China on 28 February 2023.

During the meeting, the Consuls General warmly welcomed Ambassador FlorCruz and expressed their support for his new leadership. They briefed the Ambassador on the work that they do in their respective Consulates, developments in their jurisdictions, as well as the challenges that they each currently face.

The Ambassador thanked the Consuls General and implored them to work together with the Embassy in further improving relations between the Philippines and China in various fields of cooperation, attend to the needs of overseas Filipinos in China and offer efficient consular services to their clients.

The meeting was participated in by Consul General Raly L. Tejada (Hong Kong PCG), Consul General Marshall Louis G. Alferez (Guangzhou PCG), Consul General Josel F. Ignacio (Shanghai PCG), Consul General Flerida Ann Camille P. Mayo (Chongqing PCG), Consul General Porfirio M. Mayo, Jr. (Macau SAR PCG) and Consul General Ma. Antonina M. Mendoza-Oblena (Xiamen PCG). Ambassador FlorCruz was joined in Beijing by Consul General Dinno M. Oblena.
