Beijing, China -- Chargé d’affaires, a.i. Mr. Dinno M. Oblena received the newly appointed Secretary General Shi Zhongjun of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) in a courtesy visit by the latter at the Philippine Embassy in Beijing on 18 October 2022.

CDA Oblena congratulated Secretary General Shi for taking the helm of the ACC Secretariat. He renewed the Embassy’s steadfast support for ACC’s activities to promote the further enhancement of Philippines-China and ASEAN-China cooperation in areas of mutual interest. On the other hand, Secretary General Shi said that the ACC Secretariat will continue to fulfill its mandate in line with the needs of ASEAN countries.

They discussed joint activities between the Philippines and ACC in education and tourism in the past two years, as well as possible cooperative programs in the near future. //END
