The Philippine Embassy in Beijing informs all Filipinos in China that the Registration for the May 2019 National (Mid-term) Elections for Senators and Party-List Representatives will be open from 01 December 2016 to 30 September 2018.

Filipinos who turn 18 years of age by 13 May 2019 (those born on or before 13 May 2001) may register in person at the Philippine Embassy.

Requirements for new registration include :

1.   the duly-accomplished Registration Form (available at the Embassy or at the COMELEC website)

2.   valid Philippine passport (plus 1 photocopy), and

3.   personal appearance for capturing of biometrics (fingerprints, photo, and signature).

Filipinos who previously registered as voters but did not vote in the past two elections have been automatically de-activated by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), and would need to re-activate their status as registered voters to be able to vote in the next National Elections.  Filipinos whose status is “Active” but whose biometrics are not available in the Voter List / Voter System would need to have their biometrics captured.

All Filipinos are encouraged to contact the Philippine Embassy in Beijing, or the Consulates General with jurisdiction over their respective areas of residence in China, to check the status of their registration.

Further questions or concerns may be addressed to either Mr. Ferdinand Pasilan, Mr. Nomer Ado, or Ms. Lily Cheng at the Philippine Embassy by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) or telephone (010) 6532 2451 / 6532 1872.
