The Embassy of the Philippines in Beijing invites everyone to attend the online event entitled “Legacies and Standpoints: Filipino Women in Multilateralism” on 10 March 2023 at 1:00 pm (Philippine time). The event is in line with the Department’s effort to highlight the status and her-story of women in multilateralism in celebration of National Women’s Month.

The symposium is a tribute to the first lady senator of the Republic, Senator Geronima Tomelden-Pecson, an outstanding trailblazer who was instrumental in the creation of UNACOM and the first Filipina to be a member of the UNESCO Executive Board in 1950.
