Tomorrow will be the launch of the video documentary “Wisdom Keepers of the Earth” on 26 April 2022, Tuesday, at 4:00 p.m. (PHST)!

This event featuring the narratives of the Babaylans and international shamans to commemorate National Literature Month, Earth Day, and Araw ng Kagitingan is organized by DFA-Office of Public and Cultural Diplomacy (OPCD) in Partnership with Tao Foundation for Culture and Arts, Inc. and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP). It will be livestreamed on the DFA Youtube Channel and cross-posted in various government agencies.

Through this event, we take part in celebrating Earth Day, with this year’s theme “Invest in our Planet.”

The project highlights several Indigenous and local communities’ narratives of Philippine ritualists, oralists, healers and environmental keepers, as well as those of international shamans’ whose practices have remained rooted in their cultural heritage amidst modern settings.
