REMINDER TO OUR KABABAYAN
The Philippine Embassy reminds our kababayans that it is illegal for Filipinos to work in mainland China as household workers or as private tutors. Keep in mind that if you do this, you are breaking Chinese laws.
Please be careful when dealing with agents in the Philippines who offer to find you work in mainland China as a nanny, household worker, private tutor, or other household-related profession. These individuals are illegal recruiters. They are proposing that you do something illegal. Do not accept their offer.
The Embassy cautions our kababayans NOT TO DEAL WITH AGENTS OR INDIVIDUALS in mainland China who offer to help you extend your tourist visa so that you can work as a household worker. Foreigners cannot be employed as household workers in mainland China. The agents ask for a fee, but they are involved in illegal recruitment. They themselves are breaking Chinese laws. Oftentimes, they resort to unscrupulous actions.
When you work illegally, you make yourself vulnerable to abuse, especially by greedy individuals whose only objective is to make money off your hard work. Make a wise decision now. Refuse the offer of illegal recruiters. Observe Chinese laws, and respect the conditions of your visa.
